Salary (2007-08):
- PL-1 $38,664.14
- PL-2 $40,768.57
- PL-3 $42,210.43
There is no state income tax in Texas.

- Other Leave - leave for professional meetings, employment interviews, etc., arranged with residency program director.

Fees paid:
- American Academy of Pediatrics Junior Fellowship Membership - no charge to resident
- Texas Pediatric Society Membership fee ($15 annually).
- Resident License fee ($144; reimbursable).
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support Course - PALS
- Neonatal Advanced Life Support Course - NALS
Other Perks:
- Education fund - $750 which may be used for book purchases, to support travel to educational meetings, or for payment of Examination Fees (USMLE Step 3 and the ABP Certification Examination).
- Meals - Free meal tickets for on-call hours at University Hospital and CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Children's Hospital. Complimentary breakfast and lunch at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Children's Hospital and daily lunch and Noon Conferences
