PEDIATRICS RESIDENCY PROGRAM

Curriculum

Over the 39 (4-week) rotations of training the resident will satisfactorily complete:
  1. Six and one-half (4-week) rotations in Ambulatory Care (General Pediatrics/Acute Care and Subspecialty Clinics).
  2. Nine (4-week) rotations in General Pediatric Inpatient Medicine divided between the Santa Rosa Children's Hospital and University Hospital.
  3. Four (4-week) rotations in Neonatal Intensive Care Medicine.
  4. Two (4-week) rotations in Term Newborn Nursery.
  5. Two (4 week) rotations in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine.
  6. Two (4-week) rotations in Pediatric Emergency Medicine.
  7. Two and one-half (4-week) rotations in Hematology/Oncology.
  8. One (4-week) rotation in Behavior and Development.
  9. One (4-week) rotation in Adolescent Medicine
  10. Four (4-week) rotations, one in each of the following subspecialty areas: Cardiology, Endocrinology, Nephrology and Pulmonology.
  11. Five (4-week) clinical or research elective rotations.
