The Division of Endocrinology studies all aspects of childhood diabetes, including its prevalence, progression, management, prevention and complications.

The Division of Endocrinology and Diabetes was awarded an additional two years of support for a four-year total of $530,000 from Baptist Health Foundation of San Antonio for telemedicine project titled "Diabetes Risk Reduction Via Community-Based Telehealth." Overall, San Antonio-area organizations received more than $4 million in grants at the awards ceremony Nov. 20.
