Division of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology
Welcome
Throughout Texas and globally, our division has provided care to infants, children and adolescents affected by hematologic, oncologic, and immunologic disorders.
Our division provides several educational opportunities both globally and locally including Pediatric Tumor Board, a weekly multi-disciplinary conference offering review of oncology diagnoses followed by discussion of current research and management options and a monthly hematology conference reviewing the diagnosis and management of complicated hematology consults.
The fellowship program was initiated in 2008 and has now accepted nine fellows into the program. At our first site visit in 2011 we received a commendation from the ACGME and are accredited through 2022. The fellowship consists of one clinical year followed by two years of research which takes place primarily at the Greehey Children’s Cancer Research Institute.
Our philosophy is not only to alleviate disease, but to promote quality of life, psychosocial support, and to provide life-long care for our patients. Our current clinical locations include:
